I can give an aspirin a head ache
I have just completed a quarter century in age and that basically means one big milestone. So what do I have to show for it? It's not like I invented anything important or anything like that. It's not like they have already started building bridges and parks and naming them after me. Notice I say already.
Well one of the things that I really cherish to date is my friends. As you can see from my website there is a ton of people I know. The list isn't exhaustive. But does represent a fair majority.
Well basically I have lived in four places so far. One was in Ranchi in Bihar, Laloo land. Well there I had a lot of friends but we had to leave in quite a hurry to Chennai and as a result I never got to get contact details from them. Plus this was in the day before email and so you really can't expect much.
Then I moved to Chennai. Most of my friends are from here. There are some from high school and some from college. After this I moved to the US, to Gainesville in Florida. Made a good number of friends there too. Now I am back in India working in Bangalore and am just beginning to make friends here.
So who are my good friends? Well there have been several different types of friends I have had. Some just walked into my life and before I knew it they were so close to me that sometimes they knew what I was going to do even before I did. I guess I have gotten to know everyone in their own unique way and I can't really put a general tag on it. End of the day they all mean a lot to me and I will go any distance to keep them happy.
The following is a description of the relationship I have with my friends. Am sure you will see yourself fit into more than one of the categories!
Here's to my friends, for those who have been there when I've been down, when I've been crazy, when I've been sad, when I've been mad, when I've had mixed feelings, when I needed a hug, when I've let them down, when I've been helpful, when I've done or said something stupid, when I was intellectual, when I've been a pain, when I made up nicknames, when I've been sane and most of all when I've been me!
