So long pop, I'm off to check my tiger trap!

Well before I start of this entry I will have to apologize to everyone who regularly check my blog for not having written anything here. I had made a commitment that I would complete something before I made the next entry... But...

Well for the illiterate, the topic of this blog is the first ever line that appears in the comic series of Calvin and Hobbes. If you don't know what I am talking about then you need help. Is the best ever comic!

Well last weekend I went on a jungle safari. So there are two reasons that I chose this topic! Okay tigers are protected in India so I wasn't exactly going to catch one. But I was definitely going to try and see one!

It was 18 of us from work. Was fun because I got to meet a lot of people. Just like the episode of '28 Indians in a Bus', here to everyone was late but surprisingly we reached so early that we actually had to kill time before lunch.

The Inn was called Jungle Inn. Neat place. After lunch we loaded into open air jeeps and took off. The ride was bumpy but a lot of fun. So we saw deer. Then we saw more deer. We just kept seeing deer. Boy the tiger mustn't really do a very good job!

Then we saw bison. We also saw wild elephants. Then they take us to this watch tower and tell us to be extremely silent so we don't scare away the tigers. So I sat silently in the tower but didn't see a thing.

Headed home after dark and saw a whole load of eyes in the jungle but not a single tiger! At one point we thought we saw a Sloth bear but was just a hoax!

Well it was fun anyways. Being asked to keep silent when there wasn't really anything to keep silent for was interesting though. It was like a teacher telling us that if we kept silent we would get a reward. But of course we never got...

Next morning was up early and went for a trek. I think we walked about 10 kms... And all I saw was a neat spider. Apparently all the talking was doing while walking has scared off the two deer that showed up. Oh the best bit was this other watch tower. The only was to go up was this bamboo ladder. Looked very sturdy from down. So I decided to go up. The first bit was easy. Then when I was half way up thanks to my weight the whole thing started swaying. Don't look down is the usual golden rule but you know what. I think they say that only because they know that you will do it! I did it none the less.

Well although I didn't get all I wanted from the safari I, I did get the fresh air of the jungle and met a lot of people I never knew were so much fun to hang out with at work!
