Kanada in a session

Well its been almost two years since I moved to Bangalore and I think its about time I let people know a couple of secrets of surviving here. Well first of all you need to learn the language. Now it's not as hard as you think. If you know English, that makes it easier to learn Kanada.

First word you need to learn is madi. Its means to do and is an awesome word. You add it to any verb in the English language and people here suddenly understand what you are saying! Petrol fill madi. Eat madi. Sit madi. Stop madi. You can also attach it to nouns too.

You see Bangalore used to be known as the Garden City. No more, it's now known as they land of One Ways. On a side note we have the privilege of having the worst road in the World right here! Back to the next word. So you will get lost at some point of time. So the next word you need to know is yelli. It means where. Raj Bhanvan yelli. Airport yelli. People will reply in Kanada, just hear leftu and rightu and you will know where to go. Just ensure that they also don't describe the way not to get to a certain place. It's happened to me and I reached some god forsaken corner of this planet.

Then comes the most essential sentence in any language, where is the toilet. Simple. You should easily be about to figure it out... Toilet Yelli.

There you go... you are now skilled in the language.

My Dietician

Well after over a year I found some time today to go visit my dietician. Well our meetings in the past have been pretty useless. She tells me what to do and I don't do it. I like to enjoy my food and don't quite like things that get in the way. Honestly, its not that I don't want to, it's just that I can't. You see I don't cook at home and when you order out you can't always take care of what you eat.
Well I explained the situation to her and she turned psychiatrist. She asked me either ask my mom to move to Bangalore or that I should find some girl and get married!

New Year Resolutions

Turns out over 97% of the people in this planet have decided that their New Year resolution is to loose weight. How creative. The fact that you have to do it every year shows how much you actually keep that resolution. Well at least all the gyms make a lot of money!
So what have I resolved for this year? Same as last year. Nothing! Take things as they come J... Too much happens in life for things to be planned out completely.

A six pack for my keg

Well for those who actually read my blog regularly you may remember something I mentioned about going to the gym and all this being a part of the company's initiative towards making us healthier. Well today to round it all off for the year they had a marathon! Okay marathon sounds like 10 kms and all that. Well here it was 2 kms and the maximum incline to be dealt with was 3 degrees maybe! Believe it or not I managed to finish the two km run in less than 10 minutes! Okay I didn't come first but I wasn't last, so much so I beat the last guy by over 10 minutes.
Well about 40 people ran. Everyone finished without collapsing. Of course I thought there would be a big rush for the showers after the race so as soon as all formalities were done I rushed to the showers. Turns out people in my company rather be sweaty. I bet only about 10 of those people came to the showers! Okay not deviating from the topic at hand, my keg!
Well you have heard of people who try real hard to achieve two-pack abs, or maybe four or still better a six-pack abs! Personally I think they have named things wrong. Let's look at it this way. I have a nice keg for my abs and a keg is far better than a six-pack in real life, right? So how come I can't just trade in my keg for a six-pack? Or still better, why can't people just appreciate the fact that I have a keg!
Okay I am nuts...

Visions of perfection...

Ever thought about the vision that you glorify in your mind, the ideal that you enthrone in your heart.

So do you think you are perfect and that you are never at fault? Come on! Be honest, we very often think that way, don't we... We often wonder why other people have to be so immature about things and that we are the only one’s thinking from a mature point of view.

Once in a while we do need a "reality check"... Of course no point being overly critical because no one matches actually matches his or her perfect ideals... But we have to learn to think outside our own world. Remember, don't get so caught up in your dreams that you don't consider others' points-of-view...
