Adarsh Shreekumar

Adarsh ‘Freekumar’ as the caller ID at home used to call him was a junior of mine at the University of Florida. This guys is one hell of a dancer and has amazed his audience many a time at various cultural programs at UF. One of the most hard working guy I know, he managed to get an internship at Microsoft and convert it into a full time job soon after. That's a picture of him and his beautiful wife, Archana.

Aditi Murti (psycho)

Aditi is one of Jason’s chat friend who I got to know because she used to hang out in my place so much. She one heck of a confused person and one of the only people I know who will call themselves by their own nick! She’s doing her architecture at the University of Florida. We spend a lot of time on chat because we both are online pretty much the whole time and since she lives so close by she usually drops by whenever she is bored. Her mom’s a great cook and out of the kindness of her heart she let’s us come over to her place and sample it. My favorite thing about her is when she says bye on the phone… She goes ‘oky biyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.’

Aditya Nawab

Aditya worked with me in the same lab at the University of Florida. We have worked together on a couple of assignments and projects together. He is now working for a company in West Palm.

Adnan Sabuwala

The fact that Adnan shares the same first name as on of the terrorists from 9-11 is purely coincidental. He is one of the most helpful people you will find. For all practical purposes he is the first person I met when I came to the US and he is the one who took me around the campus and guided me throught the first few days.

Agam Sahni

Agam, the desi woman hunter is the most Indian, American of Indian origin I know to date. In fact am sure he is more desi than most of the Indians I know! He is a ball of laughter and there can’t be a dull moment with him around when he is drunk. He’s a real helpful guy who I met when we volunteered for the same event during my first semester in Gainesville. Ever since then we have been great pals. He is the reason I got my driver’s license!

Ajit Bhatta

Ajit is a pal from Gainesville who was my department junior. He’s been a model in Bangalore for a couple of years and is now here to do his Master’s. Although he had a rough start here with his Master’s he has managed to recover and now is doing real well.

Akhil Karkera

Akhil I got to know from ISA, The Indian Student Association. Akhil was the person who coordinated my batch's arrival into the US. He coordinated the pickup and temporary housing of over a hundred students. He not only did it for that batch but did it again for another batch two years later. I did it for one year and I know how hectic that sort of job is. He really was one heck of a dedicated person. As a well deserved reward for all this work he is now in Microsoft.

Alankar Lal Prasad Sinha

ALPS or Adu as we called him is one of the oldest friends I remember. He used to be one of my mother's students till he transferred to my high school. When I left Ranchi in 1991 we pretty much lost touch. He is one of the first friends I can remember having.

Altaf Nawaz J.

He is one of the stars of our class sport (i.e.pen fight). Being a very quiet guy in class, he has remained in every teachers' good books. He has a very modest helpful character. He was my partner in physics in the 10th grade. After that we were together only for French class which to say the least was a lot of fun.

Amit Thomas

My namesake! Although Amit was a year senior to me academically, we became pretty good pals by virtue of the fact that we were neighbors. I can still remember the days when the only game we had was Ford Simulator and he, my brother and I used to play it together. This guy had an ear for music and used to be able to pick up a song just by listening to it. Of course he did make mistakes and we always pointed that out to him :). He is currently doing his second Master’s.
