My brother could not pronounce my name and so he used to call me Amu, though he now refuses to call me that as it is not cool enough. Anyway that nickname has stuck with me since then, but used only by family members. My other famous nick was set by Paru and is 'the fat one'. My latest name is 'Gundu' and is becoming quite popular now.

I was born in West Bengal and brought up in Bihar, Laloo land. I did my early schooling in Ranchi, Bihar in St. Xavier's School. I then shifted to Chennai, Tamil Nadu and joined Union Christian. I completed my schooling here. I was prefect chairman (student pupil leader) in school and that holds some of my fondest memories. 12th grade was one of the most fun times in my life. I made some of my best friends then!

Then I joined college in Chennai at Anna University. College was real tough on me initially with me not knowing Tamil, the language everyone spoke there. But soon I made some real good friends and things began to change. Towards the end I really started liking college and especially, some people. College has been a tough ride for me but my friends have really made it simpler for me.

I graduated from my Master's in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Florida, specializing in robotics. I am currently in Bangalore, India working with GE.

The Graduate

I believe in Jesus Christ as my personal savior. I believe that God has been with me through all my hard-hitting circumstances and important decisions. There is no doubt that God directs me in all I do! It's his grace that has got me so far. He has been by far the biggest influence in my life.
